Results for Summer series #2

For the second time in a row we had some glorious weather for the Summer Series Round 2 where 42 riders competed at Balsham Quarry.

2024 Summer series Round 2 Results

Expert Class
Nick Wilford took the win by keeping clean for the whole event
Closely followed by Simon Nunn and Martyn Rushbrook who drew for second with only 1 mark lost

Clubman Class
Aaron Brock, Rob Goodwin and Anthony Slater had a three way tie for the win, all keeping clean

Twinshock class
Craig Crowfoot won by also keeping clean.
Andy Aldhouse came in second on 6 marks lost
Julian Mair came in third on 10 marks lost

Novice Class
Dale Williams won on 5 marks lost (observers cards available on request 😉)
Gavin Prior took second place on 7 marks lost
Mark Richards came third, also with 7 marks lost, the tie was settled on most cleans

Sportsman Class
Gerald Turner took the win on 2 marks lost
Barry Harber took second place with 6 marks lost
Steven Brock came in third with 9 marks lost

Youth B (Hard route)
Daniel Adcok won on 10 marks lost

Youth B (Middle route)
Tommy Goodwin won on 19 marks lost

The club would like to thank the working party for setting out the sections, our fantastic observers and the land owner.
Our next event is the Summer Series Round 3 at Honeydon on the 5th July, entries will be open this week on the ACU site.

Summer Series 2024 Round 1 Results

 

We had 37 riders compete in the first round of the Summer Series, in perfect conditions.

Expert class – Nick Wilford and Martyn Rushbrook shared the win after a close battle dropping only 1 mark each.

Clubman Class – Aaron Brock and Anthony Slater copied the experts by sharing the win by also dropping 1 mark each.

Twinshock class – Craig Crowfoot won with an outstanding ride by keeping a clean sheet for the whole trial.

Novice class – Mark Richards took the win on 9 marks.

Sportsman Class – Steven Brock won on 3 marks.

Youth B class (Hard route) – Daniel Adcock won on 17 marks.

Youth B class (Middle route) – Alfie Chesman won on 14 marks.

The club would like to thank the two working parties that made this event happen, the first group of three that did the mammoth task of strimming all the sections and the second group for laying out the sections.

Also a huge thanks to the observers and the land owner.

We are back at Balsham quarry for the second round at 6pm on Friday 7th June.
